Please read this document carefully before entering or participating in the event. By submitting an entry and/or participating in the Katutura City Run and/or Katutura 21K Team Relay (“the Event”), I acknowledge and agree to the following: 1. Participation at Own Risk I understand and acknowledge that participation in walking and running events involves inherent risks, including but not limited to falls, collisions, physical exertion, weather conditions, road conditions, traffic, actions of other participants, spectators, vehicles, and other unforeseen hazards which may result in injury, illness, permanent disability, or death. Participation in the Event is entirely at my own risk. 2. Assumption of Risk I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in the Event, whether known or unknown, foreseeable or unforeseeable, including risks arising from negligence of other participants, spectators, road users, or environmental conditions. I understand that natural and man-made obstacles may be present along the route and that accidents may occur despite reasonable safety measures. 3. Compliance with Safety Instructions I agree to comply with all event rules, route markings, safety instructions, and directives issued by event organisers, marshals, traffic officers, police officers, medical personnel, or other authorised officials. I acknowledge that failure to comply with instructions may result in my disqualification or removal from the Event. 4. Health & Medical Fitness I confirm that I am medically fit, physically capable, and sufficiently trained to participate in the Event. I accept full responsibility for monitoring my own physical condition before and during participation and will immediately withdraw from the Event and seek assistance should I experience discomfort, injury, illness, or medical distress. 5. Medical Treatment Authorisation I authorise the organisers, medical personnel, emergency responders, and affiliated service providers to administer first aid and arrange medical treatment, transportation, or hospitalisation if deemed necessary during the Event. I acknowledge that any medical or emergency expenses incurred remain my own responsibility. 6. Release & Indemnity I agree to hold harmless, release, and indemnify Pingpank Running Namibia CC, the Katutura City Run, the Katutura 21K Team Relay, event organisers, sponsors, partners, volunteers, officials, schools, municipalities, landowners, service providers, and affiliated entities (“the Organisers”) to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law from any and all liability, claims, damages, costs, expenses, legal actions, or demands arising from or related to my participation in the Event. This includes, but is not limited to: personal injury, illness, disability, death, property loss or damage, or claims brought by third parties arising from my conduct or participation. This indemnity shall apply except in cases of gross negligence or unlawful conduct where liability cannot legally be excluded under Namibian law. 7. Event Modifications & Force Majeure The Organisers reserve the right to cancel, postpone, shorten, reroute, or modify the Event due to weather conditions, safety concerns, public emergencies, force majeure, government directives, or circumstances beyond their reasonable control. I understand that entry fees may not be refundable in such circumstances. 8. Media & Promotional Consent I consent to the use of photographs, videos, audio recordings, drone footage, interviews, or other media taken during the Event for promotional, marketing, social media, sponsorship, and publicity purposes by the Organisers and official partners without compensation. 9. Minors Participants under the age of 18 years must obtain consent from a parent or legal guardian. The parent or legal guardian accepts full responsibility for the minor participant and agrees to all terms contained in this waiver on behalf of the participant. Participants under the age of 6 years are not permitted to participate unless specifically authorised by the Organisers. 10. Personal Responsibility I acknowledge that I am responsible for: my own safety, my equipment, my belongings, and my conduct during the Event. I agree not to participate under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substance that may impair my ability to participate safely.

11. Acceptance of Terms I confirm that I have carefully read and understood this Liability Waiver, Indemnity & Terms of Participation. By entering and/or participating in the Event, I acknowledge that I voluntarily accept these terms and understand that I may be waiving certain legal rights.

12. Governing Law This agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Namibia.
